What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Center Cleaning Assistant- Closing position position at Wee Care Day Care & Preschool?
We are looking for individuals with passion, determination, and excitement! We welcome all who have a passion for caring for children to apply. Some positions require no previous training or education. This position will require availability from 3:30pm-6:30pm Monday through Friday.
A generalized list of job duties include:
- Follow chain of command
- Maintain clean and organized classroom, bathroom, kitchen area, including at nap and at the end of day
- Greet parents and children upon arrival and departure
- Always label and date food in refrigerator and throw out food that is not labeled or dated
- Maintain organized and defined centers (sensory, housekeeping etc)
- Routinely check for safety concerns within the classroom, outside the classroom and the playground
- Maintain confidentiality of children, staff and families
- Maintain professionalism in conduct and appearance
- Follow Wee Care Day Care Employee Handbook, Health Policy, and Disaster Policy, the WACS, Foundational Skills and Competencies, and Early Achievers standards including ERS and CLASS
- Follow the Guidelines for a Clean and Healthy Child Care Environment, as posted in all rooms
- Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing, restroom cleaning, laundry, etc) Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects Stock and maintain supply rooms Cooperate with the rest of the staff Follow all health and safety regulations
Pre-Employment qualifications include:
· High school diploma or enrolled in current program to obtain
· Complete and pass a background check
· Have a negative TB test
· Complete program based staff policies and training orientation
