What You’ll Do:
As a DCFS Qualified Teacher, you will play an essential role in our classrooms, helping to create a positive, nurturing environment for the children in our care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Working closely with the Director to maintain required paperwork, documentation, and reports.
- Managing classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and guidance.
- Building strong relationships with families to better understand and meet the needs of each child.
- Ensuring the classroom is clean, safe, and organized while following DCFS licensing guidelines.
- Assisting with program improvement and on-going projects.
- Supervising children both indoors and outdoors to ensure their safety and well-being.
What We’re Looking For:
To qualify, you must meet the following DCFS standards:
- 60 college credit hours with at least 6 hours in Early Childhood Education, OR
- 30 college credit hours with 6 hours in Early Childhood Education and 1 year of child care experience.
Additionally, you must complete 15 hours of in-service/professional development training annually (including state-required CPR/First Aid certification, which can be completed after hire).
Skills and Qualities We Value:

- Experience in early childhood education is a plus, but we welcome passionate individuals ready to learn and grow with us!
Physical Requirements:
You should be comfortable moving about, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working both indoors and outdoors. Our classrooms and meeting spaces are welcoming and well-maintained, but flexibility is needed to meet the diverse needs of our children.
