Wee Care Early Learning Ministry is seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-K 4 Teacher to provide high-quality, faith-based early childhood education in a nurturing and safe environment. The ideal candidate will foster the social, emotional, spiritual, and cognitive development of young children through engaging lessons, intentional interactions, and play-based learning.
In this role, you will plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Christian values, adapt to the needs of diverse learners, and maintain open communication with families. Your ability to integrate faith-based teaching with best practices in early education will help create a classroom where children thrive and grow.
Responsibilities:
- Create a warm, welcoming, and organized classroom environment that supports safety and exploration.
- Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans based on children’s interests and aligned with weekly themes.
- Foster spiritual growth by incorporating Bible stories, prayer, and Christian character-building into daily activities.
- Set up and maintain 10 learning centers that support literacy, math, and creative exploration.
- Use assessments (TS Gold) to monitor developmental milestones, guide instruction, and document progress.
- Encourage positive behavior, independence, and problem-solving through proactive strategies and intentional teaching.
- Collaborate with families through regular communication, conferences, and updates to support each child's growth.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, licensing requirements, and state regulations.
- Participate in professional development, open houses, and family nights to support ongoing learning and community engagement.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred) or CDA credential.
- Experience teaching in an early childhood or preschool setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development, play-based learning, and classroom management strategies.
- Ability to integrate Christian values into teaching and foster spiritual development.
- Effective communication, flexibility, and teamwork skills.
