Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or PA

Wee Care Pediatrics is a Pediatric Primary Practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We have over 10,000 patient population, medical home practice, Medicaid, CHP , and Commercial insurance accepted. Very busy practice with 4 practitioners (Pediatrician and PNP's). We have a great variety of patients to include multiple children with varied syndromes, Diabetics, Asthmatics, Epileptic children, Nephrotic, NF kids, CF kids, Cardiac children, and a ton of newborns. We work 9:00am - 5:30pm M-TH and 8:30am - 1:30pm on Fridays. We have great specialists available through both Rocky Mountain Children's Hospital and Children's Hospital Colorado. Excellent pay and benefits to include CME yearly, health insurance offered, license and DEA paid for, vacation and sick time paid for, and an excellent staff that love their jobs! We have excellent rapport with both Rocky Mountain Children's Hospital and Children's Hospital Colorado. We are a family of pediatric workers, and we truly do care.

We are looking to add a mid-level provider to our team! We are open to NPs and PAs and would prefer someone who has experience in pediatrics.

Qualifications

For NP’s:

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program

• Active Colorado Registered Nurse license in good standing

• Colorado Advanced Practice Nursing License with Prescriptive Authority

For PA’s:

• Graduation from an accredited program of physician assistant studies

• Certification through the National Commission of Certification for Physician Assistants

• Must possess a Medical License through the State of Colorad

Bilingual in Spanish Preferred

• Demonstrated knowledge in primary care

• Ability to work independently

• Ability to collaborate with other providers and clinical staff

• Ability to learn and use EHR system (NextGen)

Responsibilities

• This individual would work with us 4-5 days each week with appointments ranging from 9:00am to 4:45pm, depending on patient volume

• Follow evidence-based practice guidelines and standards of care at all times

• Conduct Well Child Check-ups

• Provide patient education and counseling for all ages

• Address acute and chronic conditions

• Triage patients within the office and per phone calls

• Order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess clinical problems and healthcare needs

• Review lab test results and other reports

• Refer patients to specialists when necessary

• Prescribe medication to patients

• Accurately and promptly document patient care in the EHR system (NextGen)
