We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Monitor patient health by observing changes in condition and reporting them to nursing staff.
- Help with mobility and transportation needs within the facility.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
- Support healthcare professionals during procedures in various settings including emergency medicine and hospital medicine.
- Engage in training opportunities to enhance skills related to outpatient care and clinic operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of basic patient care practices, particularly in geriatrics or trauma settings.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment within a teaching hospital or clinical setting.
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
