As a Technical Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the technical department, ensuring the team is meeting and exceeding customer service requirements. Reporting to the General Manager, you will prepare production routes, as well as daily, weekly, and monthly reports. This is a great opportunity for those looking to expand their managerial skillset.
Responsibilities
- Managing and directing the technical department, ensuring that customer service requirements are being met
- Planning, developing and executing the company’s strategy for the future development of the department
- Developing and implementing programs and training to ensure that technicians are aligned with the goals of the department
- Hiring, supervising, scheduling, assessing, training, and coaching technicians, while tracking daily production and product calibration to ensure guidelines are met
- Planning production routes for each work day, allocating work to the team
- Ensuring all technical equipment is in order
- Preparing reports
- Performing other related duties and responsibilities, as required, to meet the goals of the company
- Make product purchases and inventory count
- Maintain a fleet of vehicles and vehicle equipment
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Advanced problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
- Proven time management
- Ability to work in a results-oriented environment
- Strong technical knowledge
- Basic knowledge of MS Office
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid pesticide applicators license, or willingness to obtain one
Education
- Post-secondary education (valuable asset but not required)
Experience
- 3-4 years in a management position in a related industry
- Previous experience in lawn care is considered an asset, but is not required!
