Lawn Care Manager

Description: Weed Man Lawn Care is a premier lawn care provider specializing in fertilization and turf management in the Pittsburgh area. Weed Man is looking for an experienced Technical Manager to join our growing team!

Overview

• Leading and developing a team of lawn care technicians
• Identify and develop multiple Service Mangers and Lead Technicians.
• Acting as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency, and taking corrective action when needed with staff and procedures.
• Develop the company’s bench strength of talent by mentoring, training, and developing team members for career progression, performance improvement, and recognition purposes.
• Holding staff accountable through a corrective action process
• Working directly with the Technical Director to ensure standard work procedures are being followed by both Service Managers and Lawn Care Technicians
• Developing and supporting all safety programs.
• Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives to improve customer retention.
• Overseeing all direct expenses to ensure company financial goals are hit including payroll, product usage, and vehicle/equipment maintenance.
• Managing inventory and ensuring calibration goals are executed by your team.
• Interviewing and on-boarding new employees.
• Develop and implement on-going programs and training necessary to ensure that all technicians and Service Managers are aligned with the goals of the department.
• Plan production routes for each workday and allocate work appropriately to ensure round deadlines are met.
• Coach the technical department in increasing Truck Sales and Add On-Sales.
• Provide a friendly, clean, well-maintained state-of-the-art facility for staff.
• Perform other related duties as required to meet the goals of the company.
• Develops procedures to minimize customer complaints and retain customers.
• Follow up on customer complaints and communicate with customers to reach a satisfactory resolution of the assessed problem.
• Reviews production costs and service quality and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operations.
• Evaluates performance and administers disciplinary actions consistent with company policy.
• Prepares all necessary reports and attends meetings as required.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with 3 years clean driving record
• Have a clean criminal record
• Legal documentation to verify employment eligibility
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work 8-10 hours per day (including some Saturdays during peak season)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds (8-10 hours per day)
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
• Adhere to company policies which can be found in the employee handbook (i.e., drug, alcohol, tobacco, cell phone, attendance, etc.)
• Self-motivated and will initiate action when needed
• Requires minimum supervision, but knows when to ask for assistance
• Accepts feedback from fellow team members

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
