What you’ll be responsible for:

Our hotel maintenance worker is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining all aspects of a hotel's physical facilities, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, lighting, furniture, and building structures, ensuring the property remains in optimal condition for guests by performing routine maintenance, responding to emergency repairs, and completing preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Regularly inspecting and servicing equipment like HVAC systems, elevators, plumbing fixtures, and electrical outlets to prevent breakdowns
• Promptly addressing guest and staff maintenance requests, including leaky faucets, malfunctioning appliances, and broken furniture
• Performing minor repairs such as patching walls, fixing doors, replacing light bulbs, and addressing minor plumbing issues
• Responding to urgent maintenance issues like power outages or water leaks
• Touching up paint, repairing minor damage to walls and ceilings, and maintaining the overall appearance of the hotel
• Assisting with basic outdoor maintenance tasks such as landscaping, snow removal, and debris clean-up
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs completed, and work orders using a computerized maintenance management system
• Adhering to safety regulations and procedures when performing maintenance tasks, including proper use of tools and equipment
• Assistance with opening, testing, closing pool on property
• Additional duties as requested

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Understanding of basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems to troubleshoot and repair minor issues
• Proficiency in carpentry, painting, and general repair tasks
• Ability to diagnose issues and identify solutions to maintenance problems
• Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and staff regarding maintenance requests
• Ability to work in varying temperatures
• Experience using hand and electrical tools
• Physical stamina and dexterity
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to be on foot for long periods, up to 90% of day
• Frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, crawling, and/or bending throughout shift
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50lbs from time to time
• Preferred qualification - licensed pool technician

The employee will occasionally encounter hazards, including slipping and tripping. Ability to work in varying temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
