What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farm Laborer position at Weeks Farms Inc.?
Responsibilities:
-Follow a preventative maintenance Schedule for all equipment
-Follow a pre-season inspection and complete service on all equipment
-Fabricate repair parts/patches as needed through use of basic millwright skills (measuring, design,cutting, welding, etc)
-Locate sources of problems by observing equipment in operation.
-Repair and/or replace parts on heavy equipment, tractors, and farm implements
-Ensure parts inventory is maintained.
-Maintain a clean shop.
-Utilize farm and heavy equipment to perform daily tasks including tillage, mowing, spraying, planting, and land clearing.
-Mixing chemicals for spraying applications
-Driving tractor-trailers.
-Utilizing technology hardware for data collection with precision farming programs.
Requirements:
-HS Diploma
-Trade school Certification preferred (Mechanics)
-2 years experience with heavy equipment and/or farm machinery
-2 years mechanical experience
-Class A drivers license or the ability to obtain
