What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Service Advisor position at Weelborg Auto?
The Service Advisor is responsible for selling and scheduling needed automotive work in the service department. Provides excellent customer service from customer greeting, through the completion of the automotive work, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities:

- Obtains customer and vehicle data at arrival.
- Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains vehicle information.
- Performs walk around inspections of vehicles.
- Writes up customers vehicles problems accurately and clearly on repair order.
- Advises customers on the care of their vehicles and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacture's specifications.
- Prepares and communicates customer up-sell list.
- Checks on progress of automotive services and updates the customer.
- Maintain the dealership records and provide recommendations to their customers regarding their vehicles.
- Responsible for leading the technicians to ensure the shop area is neat, clean, and able to always account for all dealership-owned tools.
- Ensures that guest vehicles are kept clean.
- Providing excellent customer service keeping in mind that our customer’s perspective comes first.
- Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
- Maintains technical knowledge in areas of responsibility by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, researching topics, establishing personal networks, and participating in dealership training.

Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- 1 to 3 years relevant work experience preferred.
- 1 to 3 years supervisory experience preferred.
- Industry specific software experience preferred.

Office - This job operates in a professional office environment. Employees will work face-to-face with others on a daily basis. Some may share office space. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is rarely exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually low. May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as from office equipment. The employee may be exposed to very low levels of ammonia.
Employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock, wet work conditions, fumes or airborne particles. Employee is occasionally exposed to warm and conditions. The employee is exposed to work near moving vehicles and mechanical parts. Employee is exposed to chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally at a high level. The employee is routinely exposed to weather conditions.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – Personal protective equipment is required depending on the job being performed, which may include protective eye wear, or face shields, hearing protection, uniforms and footwear. Additional equipment may be required when working with chemicals, as appropriate for the job being performed.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
