What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Development & Merchandising Intern position at Weezie?
The Product Development & Merchandising Intern will spend the summer gaining hands-on experience in product design and development for upcoming seasons. Working closely with the cross-functional team, you’ll be involved in every step of the product lifecycle, from initial design to final approval. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute directly to creating designs in AutoCAD, reviewing samples for approval, and ensuring that all projects stay organized and on schedule. This internship offers a unique chance to play a key role in bringing the Weezie brand to life and enhancing the customer experience.
What you’ll do:
- Set Up an Organization System: Help create a simple, easy-to-use system to keep track of all the key design materials like swatches, lab dips, proto samples, and packaging. The goal is to make sure everything is organized and easy to find for the team.
- Prepare Design Files: Assist the product development team by putting together AutoCAD drawings for silhouettes, shapes, prints, patterns, graphics, and embroidery, and make sure everything is filed and easy to access.
- Warehouse Visits: Join the team on trips to the Weezie warehouse to see the embroidery process firsthand and make sure everything’s organized and well-documented.
- Research Trends: Help the team by looking into market trends, pricing, and customer preferences to keep everyone in the loop.
- Prepare Reports & Presentations: Assist with updating reports, presentations, and spreadsheets that help keep everyone informed about the progress of the samples and materials.

Internship Details:
- Schedule: This is a 9-10 week internship starting on June 3 running through July 31 or August 7th. You will work approximately 20 hours per week from our Westside Provisions District office Tuesday – Thursday, 9:30am-4:30pm
- Compensation: Interns receive $300 per week, paid bi-weekly.
