Position Overview
We are seeking a Design Drafter to join our growing U.S. team for Power Transformers. In this role, you will be responsible for controlling manufacturing information and instructions between Production and Engineering.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Review and approve winding design of new units based on current Winding Department Practices and Capabilities.
- Review winding information (vertical and horizontal winding machines), including notes with instructions for winding manufacturing: edge protection, height adjustment key-spacer, etc. to clarify and standardize the information in production.
- Load and keep manufacturing information updated in the production folder, verify PDF are final and printed version (to avoid displacement of comments in the document).
- Review Lead disposition and insulation design, compare with End ring Drawings
- Collect comments and help to develop documents for training and standardization of Winding Department Practices.
- Daily inspection of windings in production to reduce delays associated to information/materials/questions, etc.
- Review and compare core stacking information, quality documents and E-stacker program
- Maintain and release Installation/Operation manual of Transformers.

Requirements
Basic:
- Must possess workable knowledge of software (Acrobat, Microsoft Office).
- Resides within a reasonable commuting distance of Washington, MO.
- Legal authorization to work on a permanent basis in the United States.
- 3-5 years of experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Successful candidate will complete: application, talent assessment, interview, drug screen & background check.
- Possesses high degree of mental visual attention: The flow of work and the nature of the duties involve normal mental and visual attention with constant flexibility to prioritize the production schedule and handle information of multiple units simultaneously.
- Practices teamwork: One important contribution of this position is to ensure the smooth production and improvement of Engineering information.
Preferred:
- Two (2) years of college/AAS or trade school education in Drafting.
Salary : $57,000 - $60,250
