Job Summary
As an Operations Manager, you will develop and execute a comprehensive manufacturing strategy and operating plan that meets customer and business requirements. You will benchmark, develop, and implement state-of-the-art manufacturing principles, standards, and processes aimed at enhancing quality and efficiency. You will serve as a key member of the senior management team in the overall development of business strategy aligned with changing market and industry conditions.
Specific Accountabilities
- Ensure the safety and development of team members and the quality of products.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate overall manufacturing strategy, operating plan, policies, tools, and practices.
- Ensure on-time delivery performance for internal and external customers.
- Control rework costs (labor and material) for the entire plant.
- Develop, review, and control the departmental budget; approve all spending through the budget.
- Review new orders for manufacturability and issues; participate as a team member responsible for accepting new orders.
- Contribute to the business planning process and strategy development and deployment initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.

Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Ability to work within the WEG Code of Ethics & Values. (WEG Code of Ethics, 4th Edition)
- Ability to communicate and work with all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
- Five years of experience in a manufacturing setting in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated examples of taking initiative, identifying new methods and approaches, and challenging current methods of working.
- Strong mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate in basic English.
- Successful candidate will complete: application, talent assessment, Job interviews, pre-employment drug screen, and background check.
- Safety Sensitive Position: Screening includes test for THC.
- Current work authorization for employment in the United States or ability to obtain within 90 days.
Preferred Qualifications
- Four-year degree from an accredited university in Operations, Engineering, Business or other related field.
- Direct experience in the transformer industry.
- Ten (10) years of experience in a manufacturing environment at a management level.
- Lean or Six Sigma certification.
- Resides within a reasonable commute of the Washington facilities.
Salary : $122,150 - $175,000
