About the role :
WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for an International Logistics Analyst to join our team in Duluth, GA. This role is responsible for monitoring / communicating international shipment status from the time it ships until final delivery and supporting the International Trade Compliance function.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Negotiate carrier rates for various transportation modes, focusing on cost effectiveness and customer priorities.
- Provide solutions for transportation issues and communicate as necessary with the sales team, customer services reps and supply chain analysts.
- Provide support to the international trade compliance function.
- Assist project coordinators with special freight requirements and external warehousing needs.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise in the deliveries of project freight.
- Provide proper drop ship documentation to supply chain analysts / project coordinators to ensure timely and accurate billing of delivered goods.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively options / pricing as needed.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Company policies and regulations.
- Attend meetings with with leadership to provide information and collect notes for distribution.
- Review freight invoices in a timely manner to ensure accuracy and obtain adjustments on overcharges for unapproved services, delays, damages or other unwarranted charges.
- File claims for damages exceeding insurance deductible limit.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education :
Management, Industrial Operations, Business Administration or other applicable fields or equivalent work experience.
