WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Duluth, GA. This position supervises the activities related to warehousing and warehouse personnel by performing the required duties.
Primary Responsibilities
- Sorts and places items on racks, shelves, or in bins, according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping.
- Marks materials with identifying information.
- Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
- Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Uses computer to enter records, with basic knowledge of the software systems.
- Operates forklift to transport stored items from shelves to package area for shipment.
- Maintains inventory records.
- Performs cycle counting on a regular basis.
- Actively mentors and facilitates professional development among the team members.
- Generates data and provides analysis revolving around improved efficiencies, cost savings, and increased sales.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance. Responsible for addressing employee complaints and resolving problems.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred.
- Proficiency driving a sit-down and stand-up forklift.
- Order picking, shipping, receiving product, understanding how to piece orders together, and outbound product loading/unloading.
- Product on racking, bulk storage and cycle counting.
- Warehouse safety.
- Business operating software.
- MS Office.
- Forklift.
- Pallet Jack.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- 3 years of related experience.
