Job Description
Job Summary:
Repairs and maintains machinery, plumbing, physical structure, complex electrical wiring, programmable controllers, robotics, air compressor systems and such, in accordance with blueprints, manuals, building codes and company maintenance policy.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, installs, modifies and maintains machinery.
Inspects, trouble shoots, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains complex electrical systems (including machine control systems).
Repairs, trouble shoots, repairs, installs, maintains, and modifies plumbing fixtures in pneumatic, heating, water, and drainage systems.
Performs preventive maintenance and small service repairs on heating, ventilating, air conditioning and chilling systems.
Performs preventive maintenance in a timely manner on machinery or equipment, as production needs require.
Responsible for seeing to repairs and maintenance of facility in a timely and safe manner.
Disposes of all waste properly and places recycled material in the proper container.
Assists other Maintenance personnel, as required.
Performs other duties, as requested or required.
Writes or modifies program changes on Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Yaskawa, and Idec PLC’s.
Familiar with Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley panel view, Idec, and Red Lion HMI’s.
Assists with repairs, installations and modifications of hydraulic and pneumatic systems including all control components.
Familiar with air compressor, dryer systems, and compressed air management (Sullair, Pneumatech, Zeks).
Operates forklift, boom lift, and scissor lift when necessary.
Performs all safety checks (forklift, scissor lift, boom lift)
Maintains 5S standards.
Works and communicates well with others on all shifts.
Active member of the spill team.
Responsible for training and mentoring others within the department when possible.
Familiar with Wintriss controls and P/A feeder systems.
Familiar with robotics such as Mitsubishi, Motoman, ABB and Fanuc.
Familiar with NFPA70E arc flash and Osha lock out tag out.
Working Conditions:
Manufacturing facility. Work required indoors and outdoors. Moderate noise level, must wear ear plugs, steel toe shoes, 100% cotton uniforms, and safety glasses with permanent side shields.
Job Requirements
Physical & Mental Requirements:
Ability to use a variety of hand, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting tools.
Capable of standing, bending, and climbing throughout the defined shift.
Mechanical aptitude and high level of hand/eye coordination.
Ability to lift eighty (80) pounds.
Ability to operate a forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift.
High decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
Good computer skills.
Capable of climbing stairs.
Capable of working alone.
Able to effectively verbally communicate with team members.
Visual acuity to read instructions and perform equipment repair tasks.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Industrial Maintenance and/or Mechatronics Diploma required.
5 to 7 years experience in Industrial Maintenance preferred.
Must be familiar with PLC programming and machine logic trouble shooting.
Must be familiar with masonry, welding, pipe fitting, and carpentry skills.
Must have a good mechanical background.
Must be able to demonstrate skillful use and knowledge of hand tools for machine repair and adjustment.
Must be proficient in troubleshooting complex electrical control systems.
Robot experience is a plus.
NOTE No. 1: The Associate(s) selected may be trained on any of the three (3) shifts and can be transferred to another shift, as required, when it is deemed by the Company that the Associate is adequately trained.
NOTE No. 2: The Company will determine Assignment to specific Maintenance areas.
