Job Description
Job Summary:
Sets-up, operates and maintains powder coating equipment according to production requirements.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sets-up and adjusts equipment to ensure coverage and cure of powder coating.
- Maintains system as required by production to ensure an uninterrupted process.
- Performs preventive maintenance per schedules, as required.
- Material handles, in absence of Plantwide Material Handler
- Operates forklift when necessary.
- Performs parts quality checks and records results on lot trace-ability sheets.
- Ensures that machine and floors, aisles, etc. are clean and orderly.
- Reports major machinery issues to technician to ensure timely repair
- Performs minor repairs on machinery.
- Disposes of waste and recyclables in proper container
- Performs all functions required in SAP.
- Performs preventive maintenance per schedule.
- Performs all safety checks (forklift and machine).
- Maintains 5S standards.
- Performs other duties, as requested or required.
Accountabilities:
Accountable for operation and maintenance of powder coating system in accordance with production requirements and documented procedures. Maintain a safe work environment at all times.
Working Conditions:
Manufacturing facility. Moderate noise level. Dusty Environment.
Job Requirements
Physical & Mental Requirements:
- Mechanical aptitude and high level of hand/eye coordination.
- Capable of standing, bending, and stooping for long periods of time throughout the defined shift.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Capable of climbing stairs.
- Ability to work with various tools used in repairing machine.
- Moderate decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to lift eighty (80) pounds.
- Capable of climbing stairs
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- On-the-job, in-house training must be completed.
- Must be able to demonstrate skillful use and knowledge of hand tools for machine repair and adjustment.
