Job Description
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for operating all equipment in Dept. 69 on a daily basis. Maintaining quality and production standards is a must. Responsible for Stocking the lines to assure production readiness of all equipment associated with the taping and packaging process.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Stocks the machine with tape, pads, boxes and skids.
Make boxes with labels and the lot number stamped on side of each box.
Perform complete changeovers efficiently to all machines in department 69 on a daily basis.
Cleans the video jet and make adjustments to the print.
Adjusts and or changes out the marker.
Adjusts the cutter blade and or change the blade out.
Cleans the tape block, hold down block and rail.
Changes belts when needed.
Run, reset, and diagnose minor Auto Packer Robot issues.
Performs quality inspections throughout shift and documents in WIN-SPC.
Organizes and maintains supplies, tools and workstation throughout the shift.
Verifies the correct material in bins before placed in the machines according to the schedule.
Performs all functions required in SAP.
Performs all safety checks.
Maintains 5S standards.
Train new associates.
Performs all other duties, as requested or required.
Disposes of recyclables in proper container.
Meets company’s attendance standards.
Working Conditions:
Manufacturing facility. High noise level must wear earplugs, steel toe shoes, and safety glasses with permanent side shields.
Job Requirements
Physical & Mental Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry eighty (40) pounds.
Capable of standing, bending, and stooping for long periods of time throughout the defined shift. Capable of climbing a ladder.
Mechanical aptitude and a high degree of hand/eye coordination.
Must have High level of problem-solving and decision-making skills
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED.
Must be able to demonstrate skillful use and knowledge of hand tools for machine repair and adjustment.
Machine setup and operating experience preferred.
