EXCAVATION OPERATOR: Your mission is to efficiently and safely operate various equipment to support grade crews. You will identify and manage different types of soil, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt materials, perform layout tasks using survey stakes and GPS technology, and install protective measures like super silt fences and tree protection. Maintaining clean equipment and work areas, managing water removal, and ensuring site safety through proper use of confined space tools and adherence to traffic control methods are essential. You will assist with grading, excavation, and backfilling tasks, contributing to the overall success of the site development project.

Description of Duties:

• Supporting Grade Crew: Assist Foremen and other crew members by efficiently operating heavy machinery to level and slope the land, ensuring a stable foundation for construction.
• Maintaining Safety Standards: Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others on the site.
• Learning and Development: Gaining hands-on experience and learning new skills related to heavy construction and site development.
• Operating Equipment: Efficiently and precisely operate heavy equipment.
• Performing Manual Labor: Assist with ground tasks to ensure the smooth progress of projects.
• Ensuring Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized worksite and equipment to promote efficiency and safety.
• Communicating Effectively: Working as part of a team and communicating effectively with supervisors and coworkers to complete tasks efficiently.

Position Type: Full Time

Requirements:

• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Regular attendance and punctuality are required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, lift heavy materials, and stand for long periods of time.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions from more experienced workers.

Compensation:

• Hourly Position: Based on competency and skill level.
• Accrued paid time off (PTO) at the start of employment, and paid holidays after 6 months.
• Employer-sponsored Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefit Plans become available on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.
