The Sales Applications Engineer for Weiler Labeling Systems provides critical support to our Sales and Operations groups by developing technical quotations for automated labeling solutions based on customer specifications. The role works closely with Regional Sales Managers and Engineering experts to produce proposals that meet or exceed requirements, considering component pricing, design feasibility and operational excellence.

The Sales Applications Engineer for Weiler Labeling Systems provides critical support to our Sales and Operations groups by developing technical quotations for automated labeling solutions based on customer specifications. The role works closely with Regional Sales Managers and Engineering experts to produce proposals that meet or exceed requirements, considering component pricing, design feasibility and operational excellence.
Are you intrigued by this work?
- Review assigned requests from RSM and assign a priority and importance level.
- Review customer user requirements and specifications to identify potential risks, configure and propose the correct equipment for proposals that meets the customer’s expectations.
- Consult with Mechanical / Electrical Engineers to review potential project risks.
- Assures all projects are well documented to facilitate the transfer to the project team.
- Reviews customer specifications with the RSM and customer.
- Analyze RFQ and quote qualifier from sales force.
- Prepare machine configuration from access database pricing.
- Obtain engineering evaluations for items not in the price list.
- Obtain quote from third party suppliers if necessary.
- Participate in machine or line layouts.
- Maintain price structure in conjunction with engineering (Machine price lists).
- May participate in the production meetings.
- Ensures projects are handed over to engineering / production in a well-documented fashion.
- Obtain approval on all quotes before they are sent out to the RSM or customer.
- Support sales force in technical specifications and sales support.

- Mechanical / Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
- 2 years experience in a Technical Role
- Experience in machinery applications
- Knowledge of the packaging industry (pharmaceutical an asset)
- Efficient detail management
- Project management of capital equipment
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word)
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
- Microsoft Project experience is an asset
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing)
