This is a part time Nurse Practitioner role that will work at the following locations:
Baton Rouge - Downtown
Baton Rouge - Bluebonnet
Job Summary:
Nurse Practitioners at Weiler Plastic Surgery provide services to patients including consultation and assessment, diagnosis and treatment, design of treatment programs, implementation and supervision of the treatment program, and educational programs.
Job Qualifications:
- Must be duly licensed and certified under applicable state laws to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner curriculum.
Responsibilities:
- Implementation of surgical wound closure and maintenance, Sclerotherapy, neuroxin treatments, dermal filler injections, and laser treatment of vascular and pigmented lesions and any other medical/laser procedure considered routine and consistent within scope of practice in a medical aesthetic and plastic surgery practice;
- Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of plastic surgery and aesthetic patients for all services offered by Weiler Plastic Surgery. Services include facial surgical procedures, Sclerotherapy, neurotoxin injections, dermal filler injections, chemical peels, laser tattoo removal, intense pulsed light therapy, laser hair removal and laser treatment of vascular and pigmented lesions and any other medical/laser procedures considered routine and consistent within scope of practice in a plastic surgery and medical aesthetic practice.
- Ensure completion of all required documentation of patient care activities
- Assessment of medical history, pre and post surgical instructions, consent forms, and prescriptions with clients during the pre-operative visit
- Responsible for post surgical suture removal
- Ensure pre and post surgical operative protocols photos are taken and properly filed
- Provide necessary educational services
- Maintain clean/organized work area
- Maintain treatment rooms and work stations in compliance with OSHA standards
- Ensure proper disposal of medical waste after treatment administered
- Weekly cleaning of entire work area to maintain professional environment
- Participate in Weiler Plastic Surgery, LLC in-service activities
- Adhere to the established policies and procedures of the Weiler Plastic Surgery
