- As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC OfficesPosition SummaryUnder general supervision, processes interlibrary loan and electronic document delivery service requestsJob ResponsibilitiesReceives daily incoming interlibrary loan requests via the electronic mail system; screens requests for urgency and patient emergency; prioritizes and alphabetizes requests and updates request status accordingly.Retrieves all journal requests and monograph requests from Library stacks; searches the electronic library catalog for all call numbers and item locations, checks out materials in the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC).Receives and sends electronic documents via document transmission systems; checks files for readability and completeness; forwards electronic documents and bills, when applicable, to requesting libraries and patrons. Troubleshoots document delivery issuesMaintains statistics and prepares periodic reports of service usage for internal and external use and service improvement, including reports of materials lent and document delivery service activity. Prepares other reports and statistics as needed.Assists in the creation of the Interlibrary Services policy and procedure manual. Assists supervisor in training employees in interlibrary procedures.Reviews and reconciles accounts, financial transactions, documentation and / or financial reports. Investigates and corrects discrepancies.
