The Role :
In coordination with the Materials Manager, the Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for providing day to day oversight and coordination for materials management personnel by communicating requirements and change of priorities to ensure accurate and timely movement of materials. This position will also support all aspects of warehouse activities and provide training to new hires and / or temporary labor based on the outlined expectations of the team.
What You Will Do :
- Take direction from and support Warehouse Supervisor and / or Materials Manager as needed to execute daily warehouse activities.
- Assist in development and administration of department metrics to achieve performance goals.
- Oversee, lead, and support floor activities in material handling.
- Provide direction, evaluate, redeploy, and prioritize the team as needed.
- Maintain a rotating schedule for production line assignments for materials handling team.
- Ensure inventory transfers are executed for ALL inventory movements throughout plant.
- Conduct spot checks and audits to verify transactions are processed correctly.
- Support cycle counts and production counts as scheduled and / or as needed.
- Support line clearance process by helping to resolve inventory discrepancies, ensure material transfers are accurate and completed.
- Complete inventory inquiries as needed.
- Support Inventory Management and Production teams.
- Support 2nd shift, as needed.
- Assist in SCT's and Returns when necessary.
- Conduct training of new and temporary labor.
- Ensure a clean and effective warehouse.
- Complete projects assigned by manager.
- Follow all safety procedures.
