Duties
- Perform oil changes and lubrication services on vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks, including fluid levels, tire pressure, and brake systems.
- Utilize power tools and equipment safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
- Assist in diagnosing automotive issues and recommend appropriate services to customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Communicate with customers regarding service needs, providing clear explanations of work performed.
- Collaborate with other service technicians to support overall shop operations.
- Lift heavy equipment and components as necessary during service procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in automotive repair or as a mechanic is preferred.
- Familiarity with dealership environments is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics and vehicle maintenance practices.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications in automotive service are advantageous but not mandatory.
