Job Summary
Weinberger's Furniture has been in Augusta for 93 years! We are always looking for ways to expand and right now we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. This person will handle online and phone leads as well as help customers in our new hip space behind the main showroom! In this role, you will be the face of our brand, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will assist in driving sales through effective communication, product knowledge, and a passion for helping others.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs to provide tailored assistance.
- Process transactions accurately using the cash register and handle cash and credit payments.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively upsell items.
- Assist customers in locating products on the sales floor and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism and courtesy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales area to create an inviting atmosphere for shoppers.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and enhance overall performance.
Skills
- Strong sales skills with a proven ability to upsell products effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with customers confidently.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences.
- Knowledge of phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
