Weinstein & Klein P.C. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our attorneys in various areas of business, corporate law, employment law, and related litigation. As a hybrid role combining both in-office and remote work, you will be an essential part of the firm's operations, helping to manage day-to-day litigation support tasks, corporate documentation, and client services. You will report directly to the firm’s managing partners and work closely with our attorneys and firm administrator, taking ownership of key responsibilities to help the firm operate efficiently and provide excellent client service.
Our office is based in Morristown, NJ.
Primary Responsibilities:
General Legal Support:
- Edit, format, and finalize litigation pleadings for federal and state court filings.
- Conduct litigation document review, prepare document productions, and handle related discovery.
- Review and organize contracts for client review.
- Prepare and file paperwork for business entity formation.
- Conduct preliminary legal research and retrieve templates via various firm databases.
- Handle e-filing, cite checking, and discovery processes.
Administrative & Financial Support:
- Assist with invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Maintain client billing records, including tracking and reporting on billing assignments.
- Provide support for database management, file organization, and document retrieval.
- Draft standard firm correspondence, letters, and forms.
Client & Firm Interaction:
- Serve as a contact point for clients when attorneys are unavailable, providing updates and responding to inquiries within your scope of competence.
- Collaborate with outside attorneys, court staff, and vendors as necessary.
- Assist with various client services, ensuring that firm processes run smoothly and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of litigation paralegal experience, with preferred familiarity in labor and employment law, or corporate/transactional work.
- Ability to multi-task and manage various legal matters simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team-based, collaborative environment.
- Proficiency with Westlaw and e-filing systems is highly desirable.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to learning and growing with the firm.
