Key Responsibilities:
- Offer comprehensive assistance in purchasing activities to support the operations and functions of the site.
- Oversee the management of the supply base by cultivating strong relationships and vigilantly monitoring the performance of key and critical suppliers.
- Maintain a persistent commitment to actively seek out and meticulously document opportunities for reducing costs within the scope of a buyer role.
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain or similar or in-depth knowledge and experience gained through a minimum of 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experienced user of Oracle ERP preferred, Microsoft Office required.
- Experience in the areas of purchasing / sourcing / supplier management, data & analytics, reporting / KPIs, and/or project management are highly preferred.
- Exhibits proficiency in resolving diverse and intricate problems, showcasing sound judgment in choosing appropriate methodologies and approaches to reach solutions. Applies a fresh viewpoint within the framework of existing policies and practices.
- The ideal candidate should possess the capability to independently achieve objectives and meet targets with minimal oversight, while adeptly handling multiple tasks and showcasing exceptional organizational abilities.
- CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
