Purpose of Role: The Controls Technician will troubleshoot electrical and motor control systems, PLC logic, HMIs, sensors, automation controls, and network communication between devices. They will also execute projects, including upgrades, new installations, and equipment modifications, from design to implementation. Additionally, this role supports off-shift projects, utilizing equipment downtime and ensuring team coverage.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting Maintenance personal as needed to troubleshoot controls related issues and electrical schematics
- Adding or modifying PLC logic, inputs, and outputs to optimize equipment, processes, and automation
- Calibrating and designing systems for level sensors, temperature controllers, pressure transmitters, and speed sensors
- Researching, and submitting recommendations for, and designing process improvements projects
- Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
- Certificate or AS degree in Industrial Controls (or related field of study), or 5 years of Industrial Controls experience in an Industrial environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, good communications skills.
- Ability to build control cabinets, capable of providing guidance to electrical contractors for small projects, and ability to work with minimum direction and guidance.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
