Shift: 2nd Shift Monday to Friday 1:00 PM- 10:00 PM
($1.50 Shift Premium)
Purpose of Role: The Furnace Operator fills a critical role in the Melting Department. This individual is responsible for operating the Electric Arc Furnace, where they melt the steel into a molten bath. This prepares the steel to be transferred to the refining process. The Furnace Operator is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting their equipment as well.

Key Responsibilities:
- Follow all Melting Work Instructions to ensure safety and product quality.
- Monitor Electric Arc Furnace throughout the melt cycle.
- Maintain Furnace lining between cycles.
- Participate in Safety and Quality initiatives as part of our Continuous Improvement culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma/GED
- Manufacturing experience desired, but not required
- Ability to obtain forklift license through Weir Esco
- Good reading, writing, computer, and verbal skills
