Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing rubber: This involves tasks like mixing, weighing, and ensuring the correct composition of rubber materials for specific products.
- Preparing metal inserts: This may include tasks like sandblasting, taping, and applying adhesives to metal parts that will be integrated into the rubber product.
- Locating and organizing raw materials: Ensuring all necessary materials are readily available for production.
- Loading and unloading presses: Accurately loading and unloading rubber materials into and out of the presses, following production schedules and specifications.
- Operating rubber molding presses and finishing machines: Setting up, adjusting, and operating presses according to production schedules and specifications. Trim, grind, or buff rubber products into their final form.
- Maintaining machinery: Performing routine maintenance on equipment, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with maintenance personnel for repairs.
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Qualifications:
- Ability to meet physically demanding requirements including standing and walking for long periods Is required.
- Excellent reading, writing, and verbal communication Is essential.
Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Familiarity with different types of rubber and their properties is an asset.
- Prior experience operating or maintaining machinery, especially in a manufacturing environment, is highly valued.
