What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nuclear Medicine Tech PRN position at Weirton Medical Center?
Administers scanning procedures to patients; maintains records of radionuclides used in examinations; performs quality control testing of nuclear camera, dose calibrator, survey meters, and spectrometer. Assists in radiation surveys. Operates nuclear medicine computer; schedules all nuclear medicine exams; orders necessary isotopes for exam to be done.
High school graduate and satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an approved school. Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist certification[ARRT (NM)] or Registered as a nuclear medicine technologist required [NMTCB] and a West Virginia State License.
Supervised clinical experience in a hospital nuclear medicine department for one year in duration.
