Job Details

  • Ultrasound position at Weirton Medical Center
  • General US, OB, small parts, Vascular US (upper & lower venous & arterial)
  • Average # of scans / studies per day : 35 / day 24 hours
  • Department Specific Equipment : Siemens S2000
  • Radiologist in-house 24 / 7 until 5pm, then on call

    • Job Requirements

  • BLS certification
  • WV License required
  • WV CARES REQUIRED PRIOR TO START
  • ARDMS and / or RVT certification required
  • OB and Arterial Extremity doppler experience required

    • Schedule Information

  • Staff works 2,2,3 shift between 2 teams
  • 12 hr Shifts, Shifts 6-6, 7-7, 8-8
  • Weekend Requirements : EOW
  • Holiday Requirements : May be asked to go into the Holiday Rotation

    • Unit Specific Information

  • 3 US scanners / rooms
  • No floating / covering other areas
  • Imaging Director and Manager M-F Daylight available via telephone
  • Do they have to start IV's? : Yes
  • Scrub Color / Dress Code : May wear any color scrubs as long as they are clean and professional

    • Additional Details

  • Must be able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
  • Will accept first time travelers
  • Department specific orientation : 5 shifts with a preceptor; 12 hr nights, weekends as scheduled
