What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector position at Weiser Engineering Precision Metal Products?
Position Summary: This role is an Inspector for the quality department. Functions and responsibilities include but are not limited to inspecting parts to customer specifications using drawings provided by customer, ability to reports inspections based on pass/fail criteria, must have your own inspection tools, selecting inspection tools appropriate for tolerances being measured, inspecting 1st piece, in process and final inspection, fill out inspection reports, prepare inspection documentation for customers, inspect using sampling plan, inspect all drawing specifications, relocating inspected parts by hand or pallet jack, identify and verify incoming material using material certification and inspection tools, identify and verify coating types using certifications and visual inspection processes, inspect parts to drawing tolerances, packaging parts, deburring, maintaining clean area and other general shop duties. All duties and responsibilities are to ensure meeting customer expectations while adhering to safety policies and maintaining quality objectives. Skill based training will be provided.
Essential Functions
- Works with the Department Lead to complete assigned tasks/jobs from daily production schedule
- Ensure that the work area is maintained in a clean and organized fashion to facilitate manufacturing functions.
- Resolve problems with Department Lead that will negatively impact production schedule or escalates the problem in a timely fashion if they cannot resolve it themselves.
- Report problems or concerns related to quality, processes, equipment, material, labor and safety to the Department Lead
- Comply with all applicable Safety and Quality Management System policies and procedures.
- Identify and support continuous improvement efforts with the Department Lead
- Notifies Department Lead of issues with equipment needing repair or maintenance.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
