Remote / Work From Home Available within IDAHO and WASHINGTON only
Assigns codes for diagnosis and procedures according to the appropriate classification system for allpatient classes.Utilizes coding principles to assign appropriate ICD-10 CM diagnosis and ICD-10 CM / CPT4procedures.Ensures codes accurately reflect patients comorbid and complications of their conditions.Abstracts data from the records and audits records to verify coding and grouping accuracy.Works with billing department to correct coding and billing claim errors.Requirements :
- High School graduate or equivalent. Associates Degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or coding certification (CCS or CPC) required.
- Minimum of one (1) year coding experience with ICD-10 and CPT.
- Knowledge of Rural Health Clinic (RHC) and Critical Access Hospital (CAH) standards and state medical record requirements preferred.
