Job Summary: The Human Resources Manager plans, leads, directs, develops and coordinates the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the hospital’s mission and talent strategy.
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the development of processes and metrics that support the achievement of the hospital’s business goals. The Human Resources Manager coordinates the implementation of people-related services, policies, and programs through Human Resources staff; reports to the CEO; and assists and advises hospital managers about HR functions and issues. Maintains performance improvement activities within the departments assigned and participates in Quality Performance Improvement QPI activities.
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or Organizational Development, masters degree preferred.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions. Hospital HR experience preferred.
- Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organizational development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventative labor relations, preferred.
- Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations, i.e., SHRM, HRCI, IHHRA, ASHHRA.
- SPHR, SHRM-SCP or CHHR Certification required within one (1) year of hire.
