Description
The Respiratory Therapist under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, is responsible for providing cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with specific physician’s orders and organizational policies and procedures.
Maintains knowledge of the various methods of oxygen delivery, including the necessary equipment. Remains alert to and assesses possible side effects to oxygen delivery.
Administers respiratory therapy treatments, understands the purpose of each and the possible side effects associated with each.
Performs EKGs, completes report interpretations, sends reports to physicians as requested and files reports in department, according to department procedures. Competent in Holter monitors, stress tests, and PFT’s.

Requirements
Current State of Idaho Respiratory Therapist Licensure.
Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
Current NRP or obtain within one (1) year of employment.
Current ACLS Certification or obtain within one (1) year of employment.
Current BLS Certification.
Current STABLE Certification.
Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist Preferred.
Three (3) years of previous experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services Preferred.
