We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring premises through surveillance systems, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Operate and maintain surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and ensure safety within the facility.
- Conduct regular inspections of property to identify potential security risks or safety hazards.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary, providing detailed reports of incidents.
- Manage conflicts effectively using de-escalation techniques to ensure the safety of all individuals involved.
- Provide assistance during emergencies, including administering CPR and first aid as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate CCTV systems and other security equipment proficiently.
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential threats or disturbances.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A background in military service is a plus but not required.
