We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. As a Security Guard, you will play a crucial role in loss prevention and ensuring the overall safety of the premises.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Operate and maintain CCTV systems to ensure effective surveillance of the premises.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, taking appropriate action as necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential risks and implementing security measures.
- Manage conflicts effectively while maintaining professionalism in high-pressure situations.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance when required, ensuring the well-being of individuals on-site.
- Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and activities for management review.
- Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary to address security concerns.
Requirements
- Previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of conflict management strategies and loss prevention practices.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus; candidates should be willing to obtain certification if not already held.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert during long shifts.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and interaction with others.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
- Must be physically fit to perform duties that may include standing for extended periods or responding quickly in emergencies.
