What You Will Do
Position Description: The Distribution Center Supervisor’s focus will be on a specific area such as outbound, inbound or returns, but they will learn and support other activities as needed. We use a state of the art robotic goods to person automatic storage and retrieval system to manage our inventory and picking systems. Our air conditioned facility is located in St. LOuis. DC teams work a number of different shifts, with this role scheduled Monday-Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm.
Responsibilities:
Safety and maintaining a clean, orderly work environment is your first priority
Manages and continually improves the assigned area of responsibility
Leads assigned team/staff by directing their day-to-day activities, monitoring performance and providing daily feedback
Participates in developing and improving warehouse SOP’s and ensures staff training
Develops improvement ideas that the warehouse team and work to implement
Approves timecards and time-off requests via Paycom system
Ensures staffing levels adhere to budget objectives
Regularly strategizes with Warehouse Manager to develop and execute company area goals
Has responsibility of actively coaching and counseling employees and maintaining required documentation
High school diploma, or equivalent
1 years of customer facing service (Retail, banking, insurance, Contact Center, etc.)
Acts with a customer first attitude and delivers service that exceeds customer expectations
Ability to communicate effectively
Excellent written skills
Welcomes the opportunity to solve problems and handle unexpected situations
Detail oriented and organized - able to multitask
Overall computer literacy including a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.
