Position : Diesel Mechanic
Location : Owego,NY

About the Role :
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and machines, including trucks, forklifts, and trailers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine systems and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities :
- Consult with customers and review work orders to evaluate required tasks.
- Develop work plans after thoroughly diagnosing issues.
- Perform diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpret results to identify suitable solutions.
- Inspect vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering, and exhausts.
- Repair or replace vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and other mechanical components.
- Conduct field visits to address emergencies or sudden breakdowns.
- Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functionality after repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, and brake checks.
- Maintain records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles.
