Forklift Operator

Weitsman Recycling, a leader in sustainable recycling solutions, is looking for a skilled and dependable Forklift Operator to join our team. This role is essential for the efficient movement of materials within our recycling facility while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Forklift Operation: Safely operate forklifts to transport, load, and unload materials.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts.
• Safety Adherence: Follow all safety guidelines and participate in training sessions.
• General Labor Duties: Assist with manual material handling, sorting, and processing of recyclable materials.
• Collaborative Workflow: Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
• Facility Organization: Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
• Quality Assurance: Assist with accurate sorting and handling of materials.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Valid forklift operator certification/license.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
• Experience: Prior experience in a recycling or warehouse setting preferred.
• Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of forklift safety protocols.
• Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Skills: Attention to detail, effective communication, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred: Experience with various forklifts and familiarity with recycling processes.
