Responsibilities
- Represent plaintiffs in asbestos litigation cases with professionalism, empathy, and dedication;
- Manage a caseload from initiation through resolution, including investigation, client depositions; deposing other witnesses as needed, opposing motions for summary judgements and preparation for trial as needed;
- Represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings;
- Collaborate and contribute positively to team-orientated culture to develop effective legal strategies and provide sound legal advice to clients;
- Effectively communicate with clients, expert witnesses, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather information.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school;
- Admitted to practice law in the state of New Jersey;
- 3-5 years of litigation experience;
- Demonstrated Expertise in litigation, with a focus on asbestos cases preferred;
- Trial Experience either as first or second chair, is highly desirable;
- Proven track record in plaintiffs’ personal injury cases, particularly asbestos related matters;
- Exceptional writing, research, analytical, and communication skills;
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple cases while navigating each client’s medical treatment schedule;
- Possess a sense of empathy for our asbestos victims, with the ability to guide them through the deposition process.
