What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifegaurd position at Wekiva Springs Center?
Wekiva Spings Center is seeking a dynamic Per Diem Lifeguard to work Wednesdays 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm beginning the week of Memorial Day. The Facility Lifeguard will monitor residents in and around the pool area to maintain proper safety measures. May be required to conduct groups/training to residents on aquatic safety. The Lifeguard rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers CPR/first aid; maintains order in swimming areas and inspects pool and surrounding facilities for cleanliness.
- Must be at least 21 years of age possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Lifeguard certification required.
- CPR/First Aide certification required (May be obtained at the Hospital)
- Good oral and written communication skills with legible handwriting
- Ability to maintain information as highly confidential
- Skills in dealing courteously with the public and other staff within the facility
- Use of appropriate social skills, including demonstration and respect for staff and patients, empathy toward patients and assisting with activities of daily living helpful.
