WELBRO Building Corporation, the #1 "2024 Best Place to Work" in Central Florida (medium size category), has an immediate full-time career opportunity for a Business Development professional (which we call Community Development), with specialization in the Central Florida building construction industry. This individual will be responsible for generating and maintaining strategic relationships with potential customers and local partners. This role involves representing WELBRO at meetings, industry events, and tradeshows, working closely with the executive team and marketing professionals, and serving as a Brand Ambassador. The primary focus is on building long-term relationships across multiple industries, including hospitality, education, and industrial sectors, primarily in Central Florida with some travel as needed.
Key Duties
- Contribute to business development through networking, lead generation, research, and branding.
- Establish and maintain community and industry relationships by attending industry events and chamber meetings.
- Understand the local market landscape, including potential clients, influencers, and competitors.
- Support marketing activities to achieve growth goals and develop targeted marketing plans.
- Drive relationships with community organizations, industry associations, developers, and local chambers.
- Support Operations and Preconstruction by generating customer leads.
- Identify effective outreach opportunities and plan community events.
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans in collaboration with Operations and Preconstruction.
- Establish positive business relationships with key partners, including K-12 school administrators and architects.
- Educate clients on construction delivery methods, including the Construction Manager at Risk (CmaR) process.
- Lead community conversations to gather feedback and build consensus for potential referendum approval.
- Conduct research related to projects, best practices, and opportunities.
- Attend education trade shows, career fairs, conferences, and special events.
- Work with the Marketing Department and Senior Leadership Team on business development and marketing initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local market conditions, industry trends, and politics..
- Research City and County Planning & Development review agendas and attend relevant meetings.
- Provide leadership with recaps of key information, opportunities, and challenges from meetings and events.
- Identify key outreach opportunities that align with WELBRO’s mission and strategic goals.
