- Safety and Compliance
- Complies with Driver responsibilities as outlined in company DAART program and as required by DOT
- Maintain vehicle in accordance to Elkhart Transportation management policy
- Operates vehicle in a safe and efficient manner complying with company policy and procedures, and applicable state and federal laws.
- Support on time delivery by transporting loads by established route to proper destination as efficient as possible while observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Inspect trailer loads to ensure proper loading processes and it is the correct load before leaving facility.
- Verify product count while truck is being loaded.
- Comply with obtaining correct acknowledgement or signature and date for bill of lading and necessary signatures and date; return properly completed documentation to Transportation Manager.

- Welch Packaging pays hourly and we require a Class A CDL.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus
