Position Summary:
As a Boiler Ammonia Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical and electrical repairs to keep ammonia refrigeration systems and other plant equipment operational.

What You'll Do:
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair ammonia refrigeration systems, boiler equipment, and wastewater plant
- Conduct daily safety inspections, identify and address leaks, and maintain accurate temperature readings
- Continuously evaluate techniques, procedures, facilities, and equipment
- Collaborate with maintenance, production, and processing teams to maximize machine uptime
- Identify opportunities and recommend improvements for equipment and overall operations
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines and maintain a clean and safe environment
- Perform scheduled safety inspections of various equipment and ensure all safety gates are operational
- Handle additional projects and duties as assigned
Who You Are:
- Safety-focused with the ability to work safely on complex, automated machinery
- A team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Skilled in troubleshooting utilities equipment, including Anhydrous Ammonia (NH3) refrigeration systems, boilers, and wastewater treatment facilities
- Proactive and able to work independently
What You'll Need:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in ammonia refrigeration, preferably as a Utilities Mechanic, Refrigeration Technician, Boiler Operator, or Wastewater Operator
- Preferred training or certifications in Ammonia Refrigeration (CIRO, CARO, Industrial Refrigeration Operator, RETA, etc.) and/or boiler operation
- PSM knowledge is a plus
