What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Machine Operator position at Welch's?
Position Summary:
The General Production Labor role operates manufacturing equipment to produce high quality food and beverage products in a safe and effective manner.
Pay rate between $18.83 and $24.30/hour
Where You'll Work
This role will be based out of our 24/7 manufacturing facility in Lawton, MI.
What You'll Do:
- Operate equipment to meet department goals
- Move, organize, and stage ingredients
- Produce documentation to verify safety, quality, and production standards
- Observe operations to ensure schedules and quality standards are met
- Submit reports summarizing daily production
- Inspect and test production line set-ups to ensure proper equipment operation
- Check production equipment daily for proper cleaning and safe operation
- Clean and sanitize production facilities and equipment
- Follow the Plant Safety Program, GMP requirements and both people & food safety protocols
- Ensure enough supplies and ingredients for production schedules
- Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Need:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
- Experience as a Production Worker, Manufacturing Associate, Material Handler, General Labor, or other Manufacturing or industrial role preferred
