Regional Director of Clinical Services - RN (Central Indiana)

The Regional Director of Clinical Services (RDCS) mentors and assists facility staff related to the Clinical Service departments, and to consult in accordance with current applicable, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations. The RDCS ensures the highest standards of quality compassionate care are provided through “on site” and focused clinical reviews, training, problem identification and resolution, and systems correction and implementation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains a good working rapport with intra-department personnel, as well as other
departments within the property to ensure the departmental services and activities can be properly maintained
to meet the needs of the residents. - Assists in the development and maintenance of Process Improvement objectives and standards.
- Participates and assists in departmental studies and projects as assigned or that may be necessary.
- Routinely reviews resident care, environment, and service standards for compliance with current applicable
regulations. - Ensures ongoing communication with the Sr. Director of Clinical Services as to the status of properties and
progress of programs and systems implementation. Alerts the Sr. Director of Clinical Services of potential
quality or regulatory compliance issues. - Identifies and assesses quality issues, makes appropriate recommendations, and communicates findings
effectively to the Executive Director, DNS Sr. Director of Clinical Services as appropriate. - Provide “hands-on” assistance to assigned properties as directed by the Director of Operations.
- Assumes position of Acting Director of Nursing Services as directed and approved by the Sr. Director of
Clinical Services. - Assists the Executive Director to plan, organize and implement programs, goals, objectives, and standards of
the clinical service departments. - Assists with survey compliance including formulations and writing plans of corrections.
Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse licensure
- Minimum of three years’ clinical experience in Geriatrics or Gerontology
- Minimum of one year experience as a Director of Nursing in the long-term care setting
- Prior consulting and multi-site experience preferred
- Must be able to travel between properties, overnight stays, and possible weekend coverage as needed.
