Job Overview
The Resident Director plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the assisted living and memory care facility, ensuring a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for all residents. This position requires strong leadership skills and a compassionate approach to managing staff and residents alike. The Resident Director will be responsible for implementing care plans, supervising and training staff, and fostering a community that promotes independence and dignity.
You will:
- Act as a lead trainer/mentor for staff, including supervising staff members, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality care.
- Act as on-call staff and fill in shifts as needed.
- Review assignments with the Executive Director/Team Members.
- Review staff communication records and maintain familiarity with resident records, as required.
- Record resident information as required.
- Oversee the daily operations of the residential facility, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
- Work with the Nursing Department to develop, implement, and manage individualized care plans for residents, focusing on their unique needs and preferences.
- Foster an environment that respects resident rights and promotes their well-being.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate medical care and support services for residents.
- Maintain open communication with residents and their families to address concerns or suggestions regarding care.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and medication, treatments, and other care while encouraging self-care and independence.
- Provide resident services as indicated on the assessment and service plan, including bathing, grooming, medication, ADLs, etc.
- Observe problems, concerns or issues with employees and/or residents and communicate this information appropriately to the Administrator.
- Ensure that the facility is clean, safe, and conducive to the health of all residents.
Skills
- Meet all mandatory health requirements, including maintaining CPR and/or First Aid Certification as required by State regulations.
- Experience in memory care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of assisted living and memory care operations and standards.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Familiarity with long-term care practices and resident rights advocacy.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to follow comprehensive care plans tailored to individual resident needs.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
