Job Description: Assistant Pool Manager
Pay Range: minimum $20.00 per hour depending on experience
Seasonal Full-Time (36-40 hours/week)
Position Date: June–July 2025

The Pool Manager will directly oversee the Assistant Manager, Lifeguards, and Check-In staff to ensure the daily operations of the pool facilities run smoothly and efficiently. The Pool Manager is the front-line aquatics leadership who ensures we provide safe, clean, family friendly aquatics facilities.
This position directly oversees and schedules staff for daily functioning of the pool. Daily hours range from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Responsibilities/Essential Duties:
- Provides direct supervision of the Assistant Manager and Lifeguards.
- Creates weekly schedules for staff with the appropriate number of staff for daily operations.
- Report hours and time worked for all employees. Have all time sheets completed prior to the due date and turned into the human resource officer for payroll.
- Reacts calmly and immediately to emergency situations and administers care. Leads staff in emergency situations.
- Provides emergency care and treatment until EMS arrives.
- Always enforces pool rules and policies.
- Maintain staff rotations and staff breaks.
- Acts as a role model for aquatics staff and always presents a professional attitude and appearance.
- Utilizes appropriate communication devices such as whistles, hand signals, written and spoken words.
- Perform and supervise pool maintenance duties including cleaning of the deck, empty trash receptacles, and caring for the overall cleanliness of the facility and bathrooms.
- Checks all doors at closing time to make sure the building is secure.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: Prefer candidates with knowledge and experience in pool management operations. Training equivalent to high school diploma required. Must have Lifeguard Training Certification, CPR and First Aid Certification.
Age: Must be 18 years of age or older.
